HP Indigo users to scoop ANZ
A local chapter of the worldwide Dscoop organisation is on the cards with the selection of the inaugural committee.
The move follows the arrival of the Digital Solutions Cooperative (Dscoop) in Asia Pacific to cater for the more than 700 members in the region. Organiser and driving force behind the local chapter, David Minnett, managing director of Group Momentum, is also a member of the Asia-Pacific steering committee.
A keen supporter of the user-driven community, Minnett became convinced of the need of a local organisation following his visit to the US Dscoop conference last year. “Before that I was skeptical but when I saw the networking and the value people got from the organisation I changed my mind,” he said.
The inaugural committee for the ANZ group includes some of the most dynamic HP Indigo users. “I’m particularly pleased with the make-up of the group because we have a range of different types of organisations,” said Minnett.
The Australia / New Zealand DSCOOP Board Representatives are:
• NSW – Group Momentum / David Minnett
• NSW – Geon Group / Sam Carter
• NSW – AC Labels / Frank Gavrillos
• NZ – DPOD/Andrew Nalder
• VIC – On Demand/Mal Cambell
• VIC – Bambra Press/John Wanless
• QLD – IPG/Craig Walker.
The group intends to hold three or four events a year at the start. It expects to recruit many members from the extensive local HP Indigo base.
The motivation behind Dscoop is to provide opportunities for members to empower their companies to capture new business opportunities and open new market channels.
One of the key aims is to provide opportunities for members to share experiences and discuss the latest innovations, trends and technical expertise with peers and partners to spur continual growth in digital printing.
