iGen3 will be the star for Fuji Xerox at PacPrint

It will focus on ‘The New Business of Printing’ theme at PacPrint, from workflow to output. The range of its flagship presses will be on show, including the iGen3, a new, yet to be released, production colour press and Nuvera Production presses.

“In the 12 months preceding PacPrint 05, Fuji Xerox will have brought to market almost a dozen new solutions designed to assist our customers achieve more with their businesses,” said Nick Kugenthiran, General Manager, Production Services Business Group, Fuji Xerox Australia.

He added: “PacPrint will show the consolidation of these technologies and services, in both the colour and black and white market, demonstrating Fuji Xerox Australia’s commitment to customer-focused solutions delivery and market development.”

Amongst the new solutions already seen by the market is the iGen3 digital colour press, four sales of which were announced within 48 hours of its Australian launch.

“Even fresher to market will be the Nuvera 100 & 120 Production presses and a new DocuColor solution designed with the commercial printer in mind. These solutions will be launched before PacPrint but are not in the Australian market yet,” added Kugenthiran.

The Nuvera 100 and 120 Digital Production Systems address the full range of work produced in commercial and quick print shops and in corporate reprographic departments. Designed for high-volume production printing – with average monthly recommended page volumes from 100,000 to 1.5 million pages, and duty cycles ranging to as high as 3.5 million – they print on both coated and uncoated stocks, and offer a new halftone density of up to 156 lines per inch, which provides extremely high-quality imaging.

“The new DocuColor solution promises to build on the success of the 45 ppm to 60 ppm DocuColor series. Worldwide, Xerox has sold more than 12,000 of these systems since their initial introduction in 2000. The new press offers a ‘next step up’ option for print providers who are looking for a high-end production press but don’t currently have the applications and volume requirements for a Xerox iGen3,” explained Kugenthiran.

Fuji Xerox will be at stand 404, PacPrint, 24-28 May, 2005, Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre.
