iMedia goes wider with Rastek H700 flatbed printer

EFI Rastek wide-format printer to feature on iMedia stand at next week's PrintWorks.

The Rastek H700 from EFI is a UV hybrid flatbed printer. According to Simon Trytell, EFI Australia’s inkjet SDM, versatility is a key feature of the Rastek H700. “It handles a wide range of flexible and rigid media quickly and easily with its breakthrough vacuum belt media transport system, making it the ideal printer to produce display and exhibition graphics, indoor and outdoor signage, posters and Point-of-Purchase advertising,” he said.

Chris Lewis-Williams, iMedia GM, believes that the range of substrates the H700 can handle is impressive. “Printshops looking to expand their range of services should seriously consider the H700 because it can print on PVC, corrugated plastics, plywood, aluminium, acrylic, glass and more. It combines flexibility with affordability,” he said.

The gray scale print heads produce photographic image quality, saturated colours and smooth colour gradations by utilizing eight size drops ranging from six picolitre drops for fine detail to 42 picolitre drops. The H700 can handle materials up to 182 cm wide and 4.5 cm thick, at resolutions of up to 1200 x 900 dpi at speeds of up to 29.7 sqm/hour.

The Rastek H700 will be featured on the iMedia stand (I14) at PrintWorks.
