Forums, seminars and print master classes at the London show in March 2014 are targeted towards end users as well as print producers. The Ipex 2014 360 Committee met with Ipex event organisers in London last week to discuss plans for the London event. The focus group reviewed the new emphasis of the UK show towards education of all participants in the print industry.
The group fine tuned the visitor events that are designed to make Ipex 2014 a ‘new generation’ trade show. The list of attractions include the Print Summit, Materclasses, Future Innovations and Inspirations Avenue, this latter described as a gallery of outstanding examples of the art and effectiveness of print from around the world.
According to Amanda Lovelock, print specialist, at Honda Trading Europe, the focus of the show will be how print fits into a multi-channel world. “For specifiers and marketers, Ipex will provide the opportunity to see and hear about the latest print applications and opportunities, and how it fits in with multi-channel marketing campaigns. I look forward to seeing features like Inspiration Avenue and Future Innovations that promise to deliver a host of ideas and takeaways that can be put into practice.”
Roger Pitt, managing director of Headley Brothers printers and a member of the committee said the show will have something for everyone, print business owner, sales manager, specifier or press minder. “With such a wide range of educational and thought leadership sessions to tackle the real issues and trends in the industry today, coupled with the newest and future technologies, Ipex 2014 promises to add real value to any printer’s business, making it an event not to be missed.”
Ipex is traditionally a favourite show with Australian and New Zealand printers. Despite some major drop outs from exhibitors many are still intending to make the trip to London in 2014.
