KAMA to present new and exciting finishing equipment at Ipex

ProCut 74 offers added value with a unique variety of applications.

At IPEX 2010, Dresden-based KAMA GmbH will present the versatile ProCut 74 finishing die-cutter with hologram option (hall 20 C 692). For the first time at an international exhibition KAMA will demonstrate an innovative solution using the honeycomb plate system for affixing stamping dies. “The hologram option is our latest considered development on the ProCut 74 designed to offer additional added value for printers and finishers in a competitive market,” states Marcus Tralau, KAMA CEO.

Quickest change of application

The KAMA ProCut finishing die cutters are characterised by their unique variety of applications and very quick change-over which enables printers and bookbinders to extend their finishing services and tap into new customer circles. The optional finishing systems for the ProCut machines matching the B1, B2 or B3 format include hot foil stamping and embossing, hologram stamping and hot cutting of plastics.

“We will demonstrate at IPEX 2010 a complete workflow of hot foiling, embossing and die cutting on the ProCut 74,” states Marcus Tralau. This will be followed by stripping on the TXR-800 blank separator of our co-exhibitor - AN Machinery - as well as automatic folding and gluing on the KAMA ProFold 74 on the basis of complex and challenging samples.”

Configurator software for new folder-gluer

The unique folder-gluer, the KAMA ProFold 74 with its patent-pending tool mounting system will be shown for the first time in Birmingham equipped with capacity folder device, turning station and pocket folding unit. The multi-talented machine replaces time consuming manual work such as folding flaps, gluing pockets and folders with capacity, add-on samples or cards, automatically placing tape and closing folders.  The clever ProFold increases productivity and gives consistent high quality on any finished product.

KAMA will also introduce the new ProFold Configurator; interactive software which quickly determines an optimised set-up for the machine providing a detailed plan for tool-setting for every job. “We are delighted to display the latest innovative capabilities of this clever machine and look forward to welcoming visitors to our stand to discuss the exciting opportunities available within the print finishing sector when using KAMA products,” says Tralau.

Dresden-based KAMA GmbH develops and manufactures versatile and innovative finishing equipment for the graphic industry and has recently strengthened its local presence in the UK and Ireland by appointing the industry expert John Harrison as sales director on site.

Australasian sales partner, Heidelberg, will also have a team at the Heidelberg stand in Hall 8. Any visitors from the ANZ region can go directly to the KAMA stand or make an appointment for a local Heidelberg team member to show them around the KAMA equipment.
