Brisbane-based print management and digital publishing specialist IPG Connect has installed a new Daeho i-1160 guillotine as it continues to automate its workflow technology and boost productivity.
“We are a no longer just a printer but offer products and services across a wide range of graphic communications media and the new Daeho guillotine is part of our ongoing strategy of integrating all forms of automation technologies into the business,” said Neil McNamara, director, IPG Connect.
“We've had a long relationship with Currie Group and we chose the Daeho with lifting gear attached on their recommendation. We had a very smooth install with no problems at all and it’s doing everything we had hoped and expected. It has increased our productivity and efficiency and the operators are very happy with it.
“We’ve always been at the forefront of print innovation and production technology and 2015 was an exceptionally busy year," McNamara said. "We had a lot of capital investment all around increasing efficiency and productivity on the back off a number of new contracts. We’re seeing an increasing reliance on being able to manage and control costs through automation & technology, giving rise to increased efficiency, and the Daeho fits perfectly into that strategy.
The 100% Australian-owned company, which started out at Walmac Printing in 1990 and rebranded to IPG Connect in 2014, recently celebrated its 25th anniversary.
