ISO ANZ keeps printers on their toes
Kayell launches new ISO printer program for Australia and New Zealand.
The ISO Printer of Australia and New Zealand (ISO ANZ) is a list of printing companies that have proven to Kayell Australia and Frontline Technologies of New Zealand their ability to comply with the new AS ISO 12647.2-2008 standard under production conditions.
Australian printers will be checked by Kayell each six months for compliance in order to retain the ISO ANZ status while New Zealand printers will be checked by Frontline Technologies.
According to Robert Gatto, sales and marketing director for Kayell, the program benefits not only printers, but also print buyers. "It gives print buyers the ability to go to a website and select a printer who can print to the new Australian printing standard and be assured they will be checked on a regular basis," he said.
To date, there have been six companies from Australia and five from New Zealand granted inclusion on the list. The program has only just been launched, and Gatto anticipates that the numbers will grow quickly once the new printing standard becomes more widely adopted.
Luke Wooldridge, partner of Fogra for PSO Certification said that the ISO ANZ program is an ideal platform for printing companies that wish to promote the ability to comply with the AS ISO 12647.2-2008 standard.
"We understand that for some companies the thought of adjusting their processes in order to achieve the new Australian standard can be intimidating however we have a successful record in guiding companies through this process in an orderly and professional manner," he said.
