ISO comes to New Zealand
Expert speakers bring ISO to the frontline of New Zealand’s printing industry.
Frontline Technologies are holding a free ISO Standards Industry Summit in an attempt to educate local printers of the benefits of adhering and implementing standards.
According to Craig Gemmell at Frontline Technologies’ business development, the local ISO take-up has been somewhat lacklustre.
“There’s only about 20 per cent of the market that have some buy into that area,” he said, listing magazines and magazine printers. “We are promoting ISO in the hope of heading towards an international print standard.”
To date, Frontline Technologies has completed 12 installations throughout New Zealand. Gemmell hopes that the recent surge in Australia will have a flow-on effect to its neighbour.
“There has been a lot of interest in Australia and Kayell has done some great work in this area,” Gemmell said.
“We’ve been pushing independent prin standards for years and thought that running a seminar like this would help to gain momentum and provide people with more information about what is and isn’t true.”
The ISO Standards Industry Summit will be held on 27 March at Stardome/One Tree Hill. RSVP before 20 March to info@frontline.net.nz
