The Federal Government has made an artform out of making it as difficult as possible for highly-trained, highly-qualified (not to mention English-speaking) employees, from within the British printing industry, to migrate to our shores.

(One case, sadly of many, was a perfect-binder operator from one of London's largest, high-speed magazine publishers who was "allocated" to a country town in WA, where he had to cool his heels for two years. Frustratingly, the Dept of Immigaration has not heard of the printing industry.)
