Jet Technologies picks up PacFilm, rounding out one of the widest ranges of laminating film in Australia and New Zealand.

Crissy Maddocks, PacFilm founder, and product manager, print and finishing, Jet Technologies

The laminating film supplier was acquired from Ferrostaal, which bought the company in 2009, and brings with it new DigiGloss and DigitMatt products targeted at digital print finishing.

Jack Malki, director, Jet Technologies, said, “We are delighted to have been given this opportunity to add PacFilm’s range of high-quality, competitively priced laminating films to our existing range.”

Jet Technologies has sold a complementary range of products for over ten years and in that time has developed a well-organised service infrastructure from Perth to New Zealand. According to Malki, Jet Technologies' film division has been a highlight for the business, and PacFilm clients will benefit from this experience, enjoying improved, faster services and a wide network of experts nationwide.

"Digital print finishing which has seen significant growth in the last few years. We have added to our client-base, brought on one or two additional products and expanded our business in a major product sector. Clients now get same or next day service on practically every order,” he said.

PacFilm was founded in 2004 by Crissy Maddocks to import and support BOPP, PET, cello-glaze and other laminating films in rolls and pouches. Maddocks joined the Jet Technologies team earlier this year, and will also offer her expertise and product knowledge to the brand in her new role as product manager, print and finishing.

“It’s great to be reunited with the PacFilm range because I am so familiar with the products and their performance,” said Maddocks.

According to Maddocks, it’s the perfect fit for Jet Technologies range, which already covers Durophan scuff resistant laminate, Soft Touch matte film, Samurai and Metalised PET.

All PacFilm inventories have now been shipped into Jet Technologies’ warehouses, and Malki extends his appreciation and thanks to Ferrostaal’s management for their smooth and professional handling of the change-over.
