Position Requirements



The Blanket manufacturer is responsible for the day-to-day manufacturing of printing blanket. This role reports to the General Manager and requires a pro-active, energetic person, who enjoys achieving their goals, accepts responsibility and has a sense of urgency to get the job done.



As such the Blanket Manufacturer is responsible for all aspects of the manufacturing operations, production planning and controls.



This highly adaptable team player will need to be proactive in the pursuit of company objectives, helping to identify new ways and measures that will enhance the companies ability to serve our customers to the highest possible level and assist in the and development of areas that have the greatest potential.



The Blanket Manufacturer will need to have been involved in some form of technically detailed function and have a good reputation with a solid history of success.



The ability to communicate to all levels of management within the organization is a must, as is the ability to present management with timely and constructive methods for improvement.



Computer literacy will be a requirement for the maintenance of our internal systems, data bases and the generation of computer based warehouse documentation and tools.



Excellent written and verbal English skills are essential.



Key Objective



The key objective of the role is to bring about the highest level of customer satisfaction through the timely manufacture delivery of product manufactured to the highest possible standard. To manage and maintain the manufacturing supplies and raw material through the observance, development and upholding of company systems and processes thus achieving internal & external fulfilment of positional requirements.



Main Responsibilities



The Blanket Manufacturer will be responsible for all facets of printing blanket converting operations including the following key areas:



  • Production processing & planning

  • Inventory control

  • Order processing

  • Technical support



    Main Job function Functions



  • Guillotine-cutting of blankets

  • Press-barring of blankets

  • Edge sealing

  • Quality control

  • Packing

  • Reading of technical documentation and drawings

  • Metal engineering

  • Maintenance of production machines



    Education Requirements



  • Completion of HSC

  • The completion of a technical or trade course is a benefit.

  • Background in some form of hands on technical applications



    Knowledge In the following areas

  • Qualifications in manufacturing or related logistics.

  • Strong organisational qualities.

  • Positive attitude toward problem solving.

  • Previous manufacturing experience within a busy environment

  • Capable of organising process & demand dynamics

  • Committed to improving manufacturing procedures and processes

  • Exceptional customer & sales team liaising skills

  • Able to balance duties and productivity

  • Well developed multi tasking skills

  • Good attention to detail

  • Adhere to all OH&S requirements

  • Forklift license/ operating knowledge

  • Computer literate

  • General Mechanical knowledge
