Jobs of the week: Customer Service Representative, Melbourne

An opportunity exists for an experienced and energetic individual to join the dynamic Dalton Internal Sales Team based in Scoresby Victoria. We are looking for a committed, customer orientated professional who will prosper in a team environment.



Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor, the successful candidate, in the role of a Customer Service Representative, will be responsible for:

  • Successful development of customer relationships

  • The timely processing of customer orders and associated tasks

  • Negotiating with suppliers to meet customer needs

  • Monitoring and expediting deliveries

  • Driving the sale of aged stock and discontinued grades

 
In order to succeed in this role, the successful candidate will be required to deliver a high level of customer service articulated by an excellent telephone manner. 

Other key competencies of the role include:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Passion for customer service

  • Ability to work autonomously

  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Commitment to Customer Service Excellence

  • Problem solver and a team player

  • Tenacity and proactiveness

  • Highly motivated and possessing a positive attitude

  • SAP knowledge would be an advantage

  • Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail
