A fantastic opportunity has become available within Fuji Xerox's much heralded industry engagement facility, the epicentre, based at Australian Technology Park, Eveleigh. Fuji Xerox is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Innovation Specialist professional to join the Workflow Team.


The primary function of the Innovation Specialist is to perform industry best practice customer engagement. Customer engagement covers a broad range of tasks including development and customisation of sample applications in preparation for the customer visit, faultless delivery of solution demonstrations in the key functional area, coordinating/deploying solution maintenance to ensure 100% uptime for the demonstration, creation and delivery of industry level presentation within the engagement.

The secondary function of the innovation specialist role is to engage opportunities for business growth within the functional area. In line with PSBG’s strategic roadmap, the innovation specialist will identify and develop industry leading application opportunities as they pertain to the market. As a result of this research and development activity Fuji Xerox Australia will be better placed to address upcoming market demands and to development new markets for digital print solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer engagement;

  • Pre-press PODS, Workflow POD, Personal Workstation, Application display boards;

  • Develop innovative applications within key functional areas;

  • Work within FXA’s product launch team to deploy launch activities within epicentre; and

  • Cross functional communication;


Objectives & Standards:

  • To continually innovate, create and deploy industry leading applications;

  • To maintain an entrepreneurial attitude as part of continual change within the epicentre environment;

  • To ensure that all solutions developed and demonstrated are carried out in a professional and faultless manner;

  • To assist other epicentre and FXA business units in understanding new solutions;

  • To make the epicentre a vector of differentiation for FXA from our competitors;

  • To assist the sales force in the successful acquisition of new business;

  • To help support inn new ways in doing business; and

  • To help ensure that the epicentre is providing maximum return on investment for the company.

Person Specification:

  • IT and/or Print background;

  • Experienced with network and server software;

  • Experienced with Colour pre-press and digital colour Workflow;

  • PC & Mac literate; and

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills including the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical parties.
