Jobs of the week: Production Supervisor, Melbourne

Our client in the recognised world leader in polymer substrate technology, and the supplier of a range of unique substrates, which are used for the printing of banknotes and other security documents. They have recently spent over $30m on upgrading their manufacturing facility.

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced Production supervisor to join this leading edge company and assume the responsibility of leading a production team 

Reporting to the Manufacturing manager, you will work with the manufacturing team to ensure the manufacturing processes are achieving the key imperatives of output, efficiency, quality and safety.  You will also have responsibility for investigating and identifying opportunities to achieve waste reduction and productivity improvements.

 

To succeed in this role, you will possess a tertiary qualification in Engineering or manufacturing with experience in a supervisory position. Experience with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma will be highly regarded. Of critical importance is your problem solving mindset and attitude in this continuous process environment.
