Join Garry Muratore live from Print 09

Marketing guru turned blogger, Garry Muratore, brings you live updates from Print 09 in Chicago.

The former Agfa marketing manager has taken on the blogging world; his first assignment is Print 09 which kicks off this week in Chicago. No stranger to writing, Muratore (pictured) saw blogging as a natural progression from the duties he performed in his 30-odd years at Agfa.

"The idea of a daily show report is nothing new for me," said Muratore. "During my time at Agfa I produced several internal updates on a daily basis from many drupa and IPEX shows. In the early days blogging did not exist, so the mechanism was to use mass e-mail. With the ability to update my webpage from anywhere and anytime and the utilisation of micro-blogging technologies like Twitter, such a project is now a relatively easy exercise and can be made available to a large audience in real time."

Since leaving Agfa, Muratore has taken on a new consulting role and will be visiting the show on behalf of several Australian organisations he is currently involved with. He plans to focus on new and innovative technology in his daily blog.

"From pre-show material I have been receiving it looks like Print 09 will won't disappoint, particularly in the areas of digital print, workflow, CTP and industrial inkjet technologies," Muratore said.
