Juggernaut Graphics' win promoted for all to see
The Auckland-based company, which specialises in superwide format digital printing took out a gold medial in the digital printing grand format category at this year's Pride In Print Awards and, to celebrate, has placed its 'Bigger Done Better' poster in The Strand in Parnell.
This isn't the first time that Juggernaut Graphics has fought to get its message out there. "The company history has not been without its dramas. Within four weeks of our formation we were informed of Auckland City Council's intention to remove 70 per cent of billboards within the CBD area - a potential deathblow to the industry and our company," said Don Caird, director.
"We have been involved in this life-or-death struggle ever since, punching way above our weight in terms of making the public aware of us, at great personal cost to the three partners [Ross Duffus, Ben Vogt, Don Caird] in terms of time and money spent on submissions and public awareness campaigns."
Caird said that both the company, and the client were chuffed to receive a gold medal. "Buena Vista are a high-profile global company and for them to place their trust in a company a few months' old says a lot about the team we have assembled," he says. "The file was of excellent quality and that should be all that is required for this standard of work."
Going out on a limb isn't a bad thing, according to Sue Archibald, Pride In Print manager, who praised the billboard campaign.
"This is what Pride In Print is all about - not just achieving excellence but telling the NZ print buyer that they can obtain quality services from domestic suppliers. The only way to do that is to use advertising and publicity to get the message across,"
she said.
"The more ad buyers who see this message when they are driving around Auckland, the better."
