Kalamazoo resurrected with print management purchase

Following Kalamazoo’s bankruptcy and liquidation late last year, Colleagues Information Systems (CIS) has acquired many of the company’s assets, including the brand name, printing equipment, systems and stock. The printing equipment has been shifted to Perth, the Kalamazoo brand will be retained and the old telephone numbers are being redirected.

CIS want to emphasise that Kalamazoo is indeed back on its feet and will continue to provide printing services to its clients around the country.

David Harris, managing director of CIS, claims he was inspired by the opportunity to take control of such a well-known printing brand.

“The flexible business systems side of Kalamazoo fits perfectly with us, and it’s wonderful to be able to continue to supply the best products available, manufacturing in Australia, for the Australian market,” says Harris.

With the transition nearing completion, CIS says it will now focus on working through the backlog or orders it inherited when it purchased the company in late last year, as well as gearing up for future demand.

“The existing regional and national telephone lines have been transferred to our new call centre so it’s easy for existing Kalamazoo users to get in touch. We’re also honouring all the price commitments previously made, and will keep our current pricing structure for the immediate future,” says Harris.

“We hope that existing Kalamazoo customers will support us through this initial phase and help us keep this Australian icon alive and kicking”.

CIS can be contacted on (08) 9248 1800. All of the original Kalamazoo telephone numbers will connect to the call centre, while the new telephone number is 1300 652 978.

CIS is the sister company to Lithoforms, the well-established wholesale forms and security print company.
