Kayell to sell Veripress soft proofing solution

Serendipity Software chooses Kayell to sell its Veripress SoftProofing solution.

According to Andreas Johansson, (pictured) Kayell’s sales director for the graphic arts and print markets, the product is a good fit for the company. “We are very excited about the Veripress SoftProofing solutions,” he said. “We feel that soft proofing is an area that will play an important part of Kayell Australia’s future. We are also proud to be selling and promoting an Australian product written right here in Sydney, Australia.”

The new Veripress software solution builds on from Serendipity Blackmagic and includes some new features created specifically for soft proofing, such as support for touch screens and de-imposing technology that allows the pressroom to see the finished product at the touch of a button.

Peter Skarpetis, Serendipity Software's chief executive officer, said that Kayell was chosen as the distributorship because of its reputation and extensive knowledge of colour. “Kayell really understand what is required for both colour and in the press room,” he said.

Skarpetis believes that the Veripress is the most accurate on-press soft proofing system available. "Using ripped files from platesetter rips ensures content integrity while the built-in colour verification system ensures accurate proofs every time. In today's busy press environment there is less time available for making hardcopy proofs. The speed of Veripress ensures proofs are available on the press as soon as the plates are,” he said.
