KBA completes debut at drupa

Weeks after its launch, new KBA subsidiary, KBA Complete, made a strong impression on visitors to drupa.

KBA Complete can network all JDF-enabled systems. It defines networking as a holistic system encompassing financial accounting, enterprise resource planning systems, logistics and distribution.

With up to seven demonstrations a day taking place at drupa, the company also booked a string of full service contracts, mostly from Germany firms, and also sold several MIS packages to international customers.

Marketing manager of the subsidiary, Roland Kastner, said that the drupa audience's response indicated a strong interest in KBA Complete.

"drupa is compelling proof that the decision to set up KBA Complete as a service provider was made at the right moment," he said. "The response from trade professionals has strengthened our resolve to expand our activities at the earliest possible opportunity by taking on additional highly competent staff."

KBA Complete said that a key post-drupa project will be to step up the development of RFID-controlled logistics systems for print enterprises. KBA Complete has entered an alliance with Siemens, and is planning to install a pilot RFID-controlled logistics system before the end of the year.
