Kiwis will join Aussies at supa drupa Aussie BBQs
Aussie printers celebrating at the Printing Industries’ Aussie Night BBQs during drupa 2008 will be joined by their New Zealand counterparts.
Printing Industries national communications and technical services manager, Joe Kowalewski, confirmed that drupa delegates from the New Zealand printing association, PrintNZ, tour would be joining their Australian colleagues at the BBQs.
“We welcome our friends from across the Tasman and look forward to the great camaraderie we know these events will generate,” he said.
The New Zealand tour delegates are attending the second week of drupa and the majority of their delegates will attend the second BBQ night on 8 June, although some will be attending the 1 June event.
“Momentum for these events and drupa itself is building rapidly suggesting the 2008 exhibition will be the biggest and most successful to date,” Mr Kowalewski said.
“International travel is far more secure today than it was four years ago and this is having a positive impact on bookings for the supa drupa industry tour and generally on the expected number of attendees internationally as well as from Australia and New Zealand.”
Most of the supa drupa tour packages include a ticket for the Aussie Night BBQ (except the three night tour option tours) along with invitations to attend the Happy Hour supplier functions. Outside of the tour packages, tickets can be purchased by Printing Industries and PrintNZ members for AUD$120 per person and non Printing Industries members AUD$150 per person.
