Three executives from Konica Minolta have thrown themselves out of a plane at 14,000 feet above Wollongong to support not-for-profit group Project Futures in its fight to end human trafficking, slavery, and child exploitation.
The ‘Toss the Boss’ initiative raised more than $21,000 for the Australian beneficiary of Project Futures, Child Wise.
Colleagues nominated the three KM executives who took the plunge: Konica Minolta Business Solutions Australia MD Dr David Cooke; Channel Partners GM Eric Holtsmark; and Managed Content Services GM Craig Broadbent.
“I have long been a supporter of the fight against human trafficking, exploitation, and slavery," said Cooke, who is also a non-executive director of Project Futures. "This initiative was a great opportunity to put that support into action, albeit from 14,000 feet. Konica Minolta places corporate social responsibility in high esteem, and a big part of this is supporting organisations like Project Futures and their valuable work in the community locally and overseas."
Child Wise is dedicated to protecting children from abuse and exploitation through community education and victim support with its National Child Abuse Prevention Helpline. It also runs a Protective Behaviours Program for teachers, parents, and students.
Konica Minolta Business Solutions Australia has supported Project Futures since 2013.
