Komori buys back into Ipex 2014
It’s taken nearly a year but Informa Exhibition’s radical rethink to lure back exhibitors for Ipex 2014 is starting to bear fruit. Komori is back on board for the London show, after joining the ranks of high-profile companies who dropped out of the event earlier this year, but with a different flavour to its traditional involvement.
Komori, distributed locally by Ferrostaal, will participate in Ipex 2014 as Sponsor of the Eco Zone. Part of the event’s rich educational content and features programme, the Eco Zone will educate visitors on the ecological and business-related advantages of reducing their environmental impact.
Neil Sutton, managaing director of Komori UK, comments: “We were approached by the Ipex 2014 management team to discuss our H-UV printing technology and showcase it in the Ipex Eco Zone, so Komori have taken the decision to sponsor this feature. This will be an excellent platform for Komori to continue to build on it market leading position for the supply of low emission, eco-friendly and innovative H-UV printing.”
Wayne Beckett, sales director of Ipex 2014 agrees the Japanese press manufacturer’s decision to rejoin the exhibition is a positive sign, and one that supports its re-imagining as a cross-media ‘thought leadership’ event.
“As the role of print continues to evolve in the multi-channel marketing communications mix, it is important to dispel and misperceptions in the industry about its environmental impact. Komori has a brilliant green story to tell, and their participation in the Eco Zone will allow them to do this at Ipex 2014,” said Beckett.
Komori’s decision comes after the announcement that IFS-Horizon will also be returning to the show, as will UK-based print finishing supplier Duplo UK.
