Konica Minolta delivers for Mail Boxes Etc franchisee
Konica Minolta presses help Victorian business take out three awards at Mail Boxes Etc Conference.
The global retail chain of business service centres held its annual conference in Queensland last month, where the spotlight shone directly on Marcus Lowe, who took out the award for both Highest Sales Subject to Royalty and Franchisee of the Year 2009.
“It’s an honour to be recognised again for the high achievements of my business,” he said. “Working with Konica Minolta since early 2009 has allowed me to push the capability of my business and provide a greater, more efficient service for my many clients.”

Lowe’s Richmond-based franchise consists of a bizhub Pro 1050 system 3 and a bizhub Pro 6501. According to Eric Holtsmark, Konica Minolta’s national sales manager production printing group, the presses have delivered strong results. “Marcus chose these machines because they are perfect for busy production print houses,” he said.
Over 40 franchises participated in this year’s awards; Konica Minolta clients took out a further two awards: Franchisee of the Year 2009 New Zealand went to Gerrard Merrick and Susan Jelicich, Ponsonby and Newmarket, New Zealand, while Highest Growth 2009 Australia was awarded to Charles Batt of Parramatta.
Rhett Thurston, managing director of MBE, said that Konica Minolta has played an important role with MBE. “Their dedication and long-term view of the client relationship is a key differentiation in the market place and one that we greatly appreciate,” he said.
