Printers were partying in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne during the launch events of Konica Minolta’s new digital printers, bizhub PRESS C1100 and C1085.

Capping off a season of digital press launches Konica Minolta lived up to its good time reputation with a series of events. Focusing on the speed of the engines Sydney guests were treated to a performance by speed painter Brad Blaze, who captivated the crowd by revealing a range of subjects live on canvas, ranging from the entertainer Pink to the new high speed press.

Dr David Cooke, managing director, opened the evening with a message about Konica Minolta’s commitment to customers, staff and the community as a “company that cares”. A presentation was made to two of Konica Minolta’s charity partners of a donation representing $100 for each guest.

Later in the evening, a further $3,000 was raised through the auction of one of the paintings done on the night. In total, $17,000 was donated to charity.

“With the bizhub PRESS C1100, we take the next step in the colour production printer market after the great success of our first mid production system,” says George Fryer, general manager production printing. “They are capable of higher speeds and higher volumes and so offer customers the power and flexibility to differentiate their print businesses.”

He congratulated printers MMP and Xtreem as the first buyers of a bizhub PRESS C1085.

In Brisbane, guests came along to the Brisbane Powerhouse, while Melbournians gathered at Fox Classic Car collection.
