KPG delivers new Matchprint ProofPro RIP
"Used together, the Matchprint ProofPro RIP and Matchprint ProofPro Media offer our customers an easy-to-use source of accurate and consistent proofs from a variety of inkjet printers," said Craig Robertson, product marketing manager, Colour Proofing, KPG. "The combination helps users take advantage of inkjet proofing from concept to contract as their customers’ demands dictate."
The Matchprint ProofPro RIP Version 1.0 is based on Adobe's CPSI technology and offers compatibility with the most recent PDF file formats. The company claims KPG's Color Fidelity Module (CFM) colour management software and Matchprint ISO industry standard profiles ensure accurate colour reproduction, true spot colours and truer black reproduction than any other RIP in its class.
The RIP also incorporates Matchprint ColorLink technology, which offers spot colour dot gain control for accurate reproduction of spot colours. Additionally, Matchprint ColorLink allows users to reproduce tints of spot colours and includes an access library of frequently used spot colours.
The ProofPro RIP uses the new Matchprint Calibrator system based on colourimetric data. A linearisation wizard provides customers with gray balance.
The new line of Matchprint ProofPro Media launches with a 245g/sm pigment-compatible substrate that will run on Epson printers with Ultrachrome Inks (Epson 4000, 7600, 9600, 10600), Canon UV and HP UV printers. The Matchprint ProofPro Media for pigment delivers proofs that dry instantly and are colour stable for the long term.
When used with the Matchprint ProofPro RIP, users will enjoy colour accurate proofs with a high quality look and feel. This product, offered in a semi-matte finish, is available in three tints—SuperWhite, Commercial and Publication—in roll or sheet form.
