Lady Julia Morris to MC NSW and SA PICAs

Australia's first lady of comedy, the award winning Lady Julia Morris, will the guest MC at the NSW and South Australian – Northern Territory Printing Industries Craftsmanship Awards in November.

Julia, who is about to begin a stint attempting to win $100,000 for charity on Channel 9's new show, The Celebrity Apprentice, has appeared on every commercial television channel.

She has featured on Good News Week, Sunrise and Thank God You're Here - and co-hosted Foxtel’s Astra Award-winning The Singing Office.

According to national communication and technical services manager for the Printing Industries, Joe Kowalewski, it was something of a coup to secure her participation. “Julia was so successful at last year’s South Australian PICA event that everyone wanted her back there again this year.

“NSW also wanted her, so with a bit of date juggling between her television commitments in Australia and overseas commitments in Los Angles we will be able to feature her for both PICA events,” he says. Adding that Morris’ title - Lady of the Manor of Gosforth, was a genuine English nobility title.

While the Queen did not bestow it, her husband Dan followed true British tradition and bought it over the Internet as a Christmas present.

The South Australian PICA dinner is on 4 November at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre and the Employers Mutual NSW Printing Industries Craftsmanship Awards dinner at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth on 11 November.
