Last call for drupa BBQ bookings

Bookings are about to close for the drupa Printing Industries' Aussie Night BBQs as hundreds of printers prepare to leave Australia for the marathon exhibition.

The two-week event begins on 29 May and is expected to attract more than 400,000 printers from around the world.

Interest in the premier Aussie events, staged on each Sunday of the exhibition, have been strong with extra tickets needing to be printed and the venue, the Bier Garten of Kaiser Friedrich Halle in Mönchengladbach, extended for the event.

Printing Industries' national communications and technical services manager, Joe Kowalewski, said the venue was about 30 minutes from Düsseldorf in a scenic country location.

"We expect the camaraderie to be strong, the beer to be cold, the food plentiful and everyone to have a great time.

"We thank our sponsors for their support of the events who include Agfa, Heidelberg, Fuji Xerox, Océ, PaperlinX, Tharstern Australia and the Currie Group/HP Indigo," he said.
