Spots are filling up, but there's still time to book your seat at the upcoming seminar/worshop, “3D Printing – what’s in it for me?” Focused on bringing 3D printing knowledge to the mainstream printing industry, this deep-dive event takes place from 6pm on Tuesday May 13th at Level One, The Chatswood Club, Sydney.

Keynote presenter Melissa Fuller, of 3D Printing company Three Farm, will be fresh from attending the 3D Printing Expo in Townsville and is also addressing the National Manufacturing Week Expo which opens on May 13th at Sydney Showgrounds, Homebush until 16th May. In mid May, she jets off to the USA on a three-month research and study tour into 3D Printing. After her return in August, workshops will be held in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.

The three hour session includes drinks and food and costs just $145 + gst or $99 + gst for full-time students with student ID. A few seats are left from the maximum of 60, kept small so all delegates can get hands-on experience of 3D Printing.

Latest participants who will show their wares and make short commercial presentations are 3D Printing Studios, Objective 3D (Stratasys) and ProZ3D (3D Systems).

3D topics to be covered include:

  • Types of 3D printers and their applications
  • Latest developments in 3D Printing
  • How commercial printers can introduce 3D services
  • Materials that can be 3D printed
  • Business opportunities and case studies
  • Consumer-vs-Industrial 3D
  • Live 3D printing demonstrations
  • Converting 2D designs into 3D objects
  • Separating the hype from the reality of 3D
  • 3D products relevant to the printing industry
  • Online 3D printing services
