In prime position is Michael Hannan, executive chairman of Ovato, former owner of IPMG, and one of the most successful printers in the history of the Australian industry. Michael speaks exclusively to Print21 editor-at-large Patrick Howard, there is a nod to the past of course, but the focus now is looking forward.

The 84-page March-April issue has the new Konica Minolta high volume digital colour printer the AccurioPress C14000 as its featured cover story, going into detail as to why the C14000 is being eagerly embraced by printers here and around the world.

The latest printing technologies in fact are under the Print21 microscope in the March April issue, with developments in B2 inkjet, roll fed inkjet, and sheetfed offset – which also has an update on the latest plate technology – all covered.

This issue also has the second half of the Top 20 Tips for Successful Wide Format Printing, as well as a look at Fujifilm's new entry level flatbed printer, and at opportunities in packaging for wide format printers.

With sustainability being such a key issue, Print21 takes a tour of the Close the Loop recycling plant and follows the trail of HP Indigo used consumables as they go form the printer back into the manufacturing chain. We also have the latest from print environmental lobby group Two Sides.

Software is now crucially important to any print business, the March April issue of Print21 features quality automation control from Enfocus, the latest web-to-pack packages, and the G7 colour control available through the Colour Doctor.

Plenty of companies are featured including BGS which is investing in new finishing kit, ADS with a new wide format printer, Hilton Laminating celebrating 40 years in business, and Canon Production Printing which is now the home of what was Oce.

With our annual Media Super CEO interview and all the regular columnists, including Steve Gamble giving great insight into how to look after our mental health in these trying times, the March-April Print21 is a great read for the owners and managers of the country's print businesses.
