BJ Ball will showcase the high-end iconic UK colour paper brand at design conference, Semi Permanent, Carriage Works in May. Focusing on the design community as key paper specifiers, the paper merchant is looking to dazzle with the introduction of the 50 colours of Colorplan.

Created by paper manufacturer, GF Smith, in the 1970s the range has been unavailable in Australia for a long time.

“We think it is time for Australian designers to be able to specify Colorplan paper, which is one of the best paper ranges in the world. The launch has set Twitter afire. People are really excited about the launch,” said Tony Bertrand, marketing executive, BJ Ball.

Colorplan is one of the broadest ranges of coloured papers in the world, with over 50 shades, 25 embossing and eight weights. BJ Ball will introduce a wide selection of the papers –all colour in 135 & 270 gsm and a good selection of 350 gsm. It will also stock the 540gsm, which is two 270gsm sheets pasted together and the 700gsm, which is two 350gsm sheets pasted.

The launch is part of the paper merchant’s ongoing drive to engage the design industry in the potential of printing.

Semi Permanent, 22-24 May, Carriageworks, in Sydney, is an international  festival that is expected to be a major event for the design community.
