LEP Colour Printers lends a hand to flood affected customers
Queensland trade printer, LEP plans to donate proceeds from orders to flood victims.
According to CEO, John Bromfield, the Warana-based company has “not been directly affected by the recent flooding”, but many of its customers and their families have.
With this in mind, Bromfield announced that one dollar will be donated to the Queensland Flood Appeal from every order placed from now until 28 February 2011. “A few of our staff and their families have been directly affected by the flooding, and so we wanted to help them and the wider community in a very meaningful way,” he said.
“Like everyone else, our hearts go out to those affected, and we’d like to do whatever we can to help.”
Printers still affected
The printing industry has not been immune from the recent floods. While it has not been possible to contact every print store, it is known that Snap Fortitude Valley, Milton, Sumner Park, South Brisbane and Rocklea have all been affected. Snap has implemented a Snap Assistance Program which involves harnessing resources from Snap’s national network to help the flood-affected centres.
Offers of resources, materials, financial assistance and time have started to come in from Snap’s network across Australia. A delegation of Snap staff will head to Queensland early this week to pitch in and help the recovery process.
Last week, Printing Industries in Brisbane opened its doors again after it came close to flooding.
