Letters, feedback, get it off your chest: 14 February 2012

This week’s postbag kicks off with industry ire over a workplace discrimination case involving a Sydney printer demoting then sacking a pregnant employee, plus the advancing tide of Esko HD certification.

Re: Printer folds before facing the music

Why does this not surprise me? Our laws are too lax.

How is it that an employer who abuses its employees and then folds, is able to open up again in the same location under a name virtually the same as the previous trading name?

What is wrong with our justice system that allows this all to common story to continue? It is unbelievable in this day and age, and it will keep happening. Worker’s rights are being constantly attacked.

No wonder the unions are stepping up their fight against businesses that treat employees this way. Unfortunately some companies don’t value the contribution their staff make to their businesses. These days it’s all about greed.

Andrew Kohn have been very successful in running the Esko HD System.

Brand Pack (previously Montage) partnered with AK to develop the highest level of quality seen in the flexible packaging sector. In 2011 Andrew Kohn won best in show at the ANZFTA print awards thanks to the hard work of all partners.
