Re: BJ Ball rolls up CPI in paper industry shakeup
I feel sorry for the paper merchants in Australia. It’s so darn competitive and the printers suck you dry for every last cent. Up to three deliveries a day cost money and eventually cuts into the bottom line so going forward, with numerous merchant shake ups, I hope the printers realise the days of the over-servicing are over. The merchants simply can’t afford it.

CPI offered a great service and wide range of product but still struggled to make a profit in this very tough industry. Private equity buy-outs are a part of life and I’m sure the investors will get a return with improved efficiencies.

You know, if I had a medical condition that required an urgent trip to hospital, I would call a CPI driver before an ambulance as he would get me there in a flash!

Yes, I work for CPI and I’m proud of it.

Re: Warning on Daikin branded fraudulent print job requests
Chances are this is a typical over-payment scam.

Payment is sent via credit card, EFT or cheque for more than the amount required. Scammer asks for the difference to be refunded (Why wouldn't you, the funds are in your bank!) usually by wire transfer (Western Union or similar). The bank then realises the payment is fraudulent and snatches the funds back. You are left out of pocket for cash and the cost of the print job.
