Re: Australian printing icon makes the journey home

Such interesting characters in print around the world. From the old metallurgist/type inventor Johanne Gutenberg to Martin Luther the reformer, Ben Franklin and Peter 1st of Russia printers and reformers of a different sort, right down to a good old Aussie sheep stealing convict. Wow such dubious beginnings in Australia for a craft once controlled by the church!
 
Over here the first press was definitely a "God" thing, printing Bibles and tracts in the Maori language etc. Quite a different cultural mindset don't you think?
