Re: Charity work earns Bob McMillan Order of Australia medal
Congratulations Bob on this well deserved recognition, for a man who worked the scene and its contacts to deliver the benefits to many charities. No matter what he was involved in, it may have been the biggest tender going he would stop and call somebody to make it happen. He may have a loud bark but he’s got a heart of gold. A tireless worker and somebody just about any needy person could call upon for assistance. A genuine individual that called a spade a shovel and was involved in everything and made it happen.
Bob is a rare commodity in a business world full of phonies and would-be-if-they-could-be-s. I was fortunate enough to experience Bob in full flight and appreciated every moment of it. Cheers, Robert McMillan, OA.

Re: Falling like flies - print finishers close
I am a print finisher and the only craft I will be working on is my exit strategy out of this industry.
Low wages; heavy lifting all day; no prospects for any pay rise into the foreseeable future, not to mention Kindle and the Apple note pad.
This industry is becoming a dinosaur.

Re: Geoff Selig is back in business with Caxton Web
In point of fact Mike Shannon has never been MD of Webstar – a separate and independently run division of BSG.
Rather he was MD of then Blue Star Print Group sheetfed division, no relation to the management of the Webstar business.
We will watch the progression of Caxton with interest.
