Re: Emirates pushes for paperless planes

I did hear of Emirates' decision. Chapter one reads like a genuine environmentally friendly corporate citizen story however chapter two will tell the story of how it enabled Emirates to carry an extra 1000 kgs of air cargo, thereby killing off the characters in chapter one!

On top of that, anyone who is a frequent flyer knows very well that the onboard entertainment system works 25 per cent of the time, so let's hope those passengers will be screaming, not for oxygen masks, but for Emirates to bring back the magazines they enjoyed reading!

We receive a constant trickle of such bogus Quotation Requests.

It staggers me to learn than anybody takes them seriously for a moment, let alone begins work on them.

If we respond at all, it is usually something like:

Thank you for your quotation request. As you can understand, in dealing with an unknown overseas client, we would require payment by bank draft in advance. Freight, of course, would have to be at your expense. If these arragements are to your liking, please reply and we can proceed with the quotation.

We usually hear no more from that one!
