LIA kicks off 2012 with all access Epson tour
Epson Australia will throw open the doors of its North Ryde facility on 28 February for an all access LIA tour. NSW members will be among the first Australian viewers of the new SureColor SC-S30600 eco-solvent printer, just days after its launch at Fespa Digital in Europe.
According to Craig Heckenberg, business unit manager of Epson Australia, the company does not open its doors for tours very often. This is the first time the LIA has been granted an Epson tour.
“We look forward to welcoming LIA members to our North Ryde premises to showcase our technology and products, such as the new Stylus Pro 7900CTP and SurePress L-4033A,” he says.
The 64-inch roll-fed SC-S30600 to be displayed was designed and built from scratch for the signage and POS market. The four-colour printer supports a wide range of roll media, allowing users to print reliably on SAV, PVC, clear film, photographic paper, and a diverse range of banner substrates.
The tour starts at 6pm at 3 Talavera Road, North Ryde.
David Wells, president of LIA’s NSW division, says it is a rare occurrence that the industry gets a chance to see the inner workings of such a major player in the digital world.
“Not only will we see the full range of Epson products from large format through to industrial equipment, we have also been assured of a few surprises that will make it interesting on all levels.
“The LIA wishes to extend the invitation to this event to members of LATMA, SGIAA, JPE and Printing Industries. I think this would be a good opportunity for members of these associations to kick off the year and to bring along their valued staff to gain an insight in today’s and tomorrow’s digital print world,” says Wells.
