Ligare celebrates 25 years of membership

Book and journal printer, Ligare celebrates its 25th anniversary of the Printing Industries Association of Australia membership.

The occasion was marked by a visit by Printing Industries CEO Philip Andersen to the Riverwood headquarters to recognise the achievement with the presentation of a commemorative plaque to executive chairman and one of the founders of Ligare, Richard Celarc and general manager, Wayne Bywater.
Ligare joined the association in 1985 and had been a member continuously since that time.

“That’s a fantastic achievement spanning three decades which have seen so much change in our industry and so many of its well known and iconic companies lose their identities or in many cases, disappear altogether,” Andersen said.

“Ligare have been a steadfast member which has built on change and transformed itself from its 1979 single line bindery origins to become one of Australia’s largest book printing and binding facilities using and innovating with the latest offset and digital technologies.

“As part of the Opus Print Group, Ligare has maintained its branding and identity that have helped establish it as a leader in its field and an important part of the industry and of our Association.”

Celarc said his company accepted the recognition from Printing Industries with a great deal of pleasure.

“As the founder of Ligare, I have seen the industry in which we work change significantly and am very proud to continue to be associated with the industry and the many great people that work in it,” he said.
