The Signarama national Name in Lights competition has been won by the Mai-Wel Group, based in the Hunter Valley.

Creating and providing opportunities for people with disabilities, the organisation will now receive $8,000 worth of illuminated signage as its prize.

The national competition received hundreds of entries from organisations and businesses all around Australia, with entrants hoping to receive their company name and logo designed, manufactured and installed in illuminated signage.

Evan Foster, Signarama brand leader said, “We couldn’t be more pleased with the Mai-Wel Group being drawn as the winners. The work it does in disability services is exemplary. I hope having the logo emblazoned in bright illuminated signage on its building goes a small way to Signarama helping them continue with the great work.”

In the coming weeks, the project will commence in design, production and installation, with the completed pictures to be posted across social media channels and the Signarama website.

US-founded Signarama is the world’s largest sign franchise, offering branding and messaging solutions, and the largest in Australia with more than 100 stores.

Lynne Graham, CEO of The Mai-Wel Group said, “It was a lovely surprise to receive the call from our friends at Signarama stating that we’d won the voucher. Having locked in some work with Jo and his team in the 11th hour of the competition, we are delighted to accept the voucher and are looking forward to installing our very own illuminated signage at one of Mai-Wel’s sites across Maitland and Cessnock over the coming months.”
