Manroland heavy metal back in drupa

Under new management and keen to prove its mettle, manroland web systems will roll out what it terms as ‘completely overhauled’ presses at drupa 2012. Leading the manufacturer’s trade show charge will be the new COLORMAN e:line newspaper press and LITHOMAN S for 96 page heatset production.

Now owned by major German trading and manufacturing group, L. Possehl & Co, the newly revamped company is out to prove anew its industry status for performance and innovation. manroland web will share Hall 6 with manroland sheetfed systems.

Peter Kuisle, sales and marketing director of manroland web systems, claims the new COLORMAN e:line will draw visiting newspaper printers with its overall efficiency and automation. “We want to open new, economical leeway to the creativity of newspaper producers today and tomorrow,” he said.

New automation and process integration developments will be focal points for the commercial and newspaper printing industry. Kuisle is also promoting the company’s autoprint One Touch operation for web presses. Manroland is a leading developer of fully automatic printing presses.

“The printing press is going to work automatically in the future and operate itself. The printer monitors the production process and controls the quality,” he said.

A manroland book folder will also be on show behind an Océ digital inkjet press.
