Business sales service provider, Ascent Partners, offers national business matching service for printers wanting to sell up.

30-year industry veteran, Richard Rasmussen, (pictured) director of Ascent Partners, said that the service was developed as a result of Ascent Partner’s experience working as the sales agent for vendors in numerous successfully completed industry-based trade sales and having completed many business appraisals.

“We found many vendors were confident in their ability to sell their business, they just wanted front-end support and guidance to appraise their business, prepare documentation, match and market the business, and getting qualified buyers to their door. Essentially that’s what the new service provide,” he said.

The first part of the Business Matching Service provides the vendor with a market reality business appraisal. After the appraisal, if the decision is then made to sell, Ascent Partners prepares a sales document on the business. This includes just about everything a purchaser would want to know about the business, including company background, management, employees, machinery, premises, client overview, services offered, selling price and financial summary. 

Ascent Partners then runs the campaign, qualifies potential buyers, and then issues confidentiality agreements. In exchange they provide the prospective purchaser with the already prepared information memorandum. 

The last stage of the Business Matching Service is when Ascent Partners advises the vendor that it has a qualified buyer, and advises who they are, their background and their contact details. A meeting is then usually arranged by the vendor, and they handle the sales and transaction process from there.   

“We still offer the complete business sales service, as not all vendors are comfortable in handling the sales and transaction process. Here we attend meetings, liaise nearly completely with prospects, negotiate the sale, work with lawyers and accountants, assist in due diligence, right through to settlement,” Rasmussen added.
