Mail Boxes Etc. Camberwell has won this year’s Franchisee of the Year award presented at the MBE Franchise National Conference on the Gold Coast.
Owner Ray Orr said he was humbled to receive the award, which is is based on outstanding contribution to the MBE network, sales growth and brand development.
MBE CEO Clayton Treloar described Orr as a quiet achiever. “Orr is an exemplary leader and astute businessman within the MBE Australia network and his store is a representation of how powerful a brand can be,” he said. “In the past, Orr has owned other MBE Centres, worked hard on increasing sales by a consistent focus on the numbers and using the MBE Network’s systems as a competitive advantage. This year, the team at MBE Camberwell in Victoria achieved an impressive 28% increase in year-over-year sales.”
Other state-based award recipients included MBE Lane Cove as NSW/ACT Franchise of the year and MBE Brisbane CBD as QLD Franchise of the year. MBE Parramatta was awarded the Individual Centre Sales Award. This year’s conference, titled Working Smarter – not Harder, was attended by more than 80% of MBE owners from around the country and was supported by Fuji Xerox.
Treloar said that under the guidance of its new management team, MBE is set to open additional centres across Australia this year as it continues to expand.
“Mail Boxes Etc. enjoys the support of some of the best industry organisations, such as Whirlwind, Konica Minolta, Canon Australia and others,” he said. “We believe in fostering strong ties with our business partners, which helps create and maintain a unique competitive advantage for Mail Boxes Etc. in the marketplace."
