McPhersons takes the prize at the Galley Club Awards

Outback Heroes also took home another two awards for its publisher Penguin Group. Freshly appointed CEO of McPherson Printing Alan Fahy has expressed delight over the results, attributing the title's success to the partnerships forged by his company with its publishing customers.

Aussie printing companies fared better than usual at this year's event, with PMP, Finsbury Green, Agency, Offset Alpine, HannanPrint and Griffin Press all responsible for producing books that received awards. A majority of the prizes were still awarded to titles that were printed overseas however, a fact reflected by the event's major sponsor, C&C Offset, a printing business based in Hong Kong.
Galley Club president Janis Barbi claims it was the organisation's biggest awards to date, in terms of entries, sponsorship and participation, and also emphasises the prominent role of the printing industry in the event. “It is wonderful to see such involvement and enthusiasm from the print industry for these awards, which honour their excellence along with publishers whom they work closely with.”
