Mercury rises with TDC3 acquisition
Melbourne-based print company, Digital Colour Copy Centre, trading as TDC3, <tdc3 has expanded its printing operations with the acquisition of the Mercury Print, which will now function as the third branch of the company.
Bruce Peddlesden, managing director of TDC3, says Mercury Print will make for a complementary fit to his company's existing operations, and claims his team is excited by the opportunities the new acquisition provides.
“With complementary services and strengths in different and compatible market sectors, the acquisition is part of our continued growth phase,” says Peddlesden.
He refutes the claim made by the administrators, Draper Dillon, at a creditors' meeting earlier this month, that an equipment supplier was involved in backing the purchase to the tune of 80 per cent of the funds.
“Mercury Print was purchased under the name of TDC3, and it was done totally in that name,” says Peddlesden.
Mercury Print will continue to trade with its existing name for a period of time, but will eventually be merged with the TDC3 brand, becoming the official third branch of the company.
“With Mercury now a key division within TDC3 we will be able to give all our customers even greater choice of products and services and access to extended resources and support,” says Peddlesden.
“The acquisition also provides us with the opportunity to further strengthen our position in the Melbourne print market.”
