This week’s M&A activity is headed by the first Americas phased rollout of the Heidelberg and Ricoh strategic cooperation plus Total Print Supplies (TPS) partnership with Böttcher UK.

Heidelberg USA and Ricoh Roll Out Digital Offering in the Americas

US and Brazil have been chosen as the first markets in the Americas in the phased global rollout of the new Heidelberg and Ricoh strategic cooperation.

The contract was formally announce d and signed at a press conference during GRAPH EXP, by Heidelberg Chairman Bernhard Schreier and Heidelberg USA President Jim Dunn along with Ricoh Company CEO Shiro Kondo and Ricoh Americas CEO Kevin Togashi.

The relationship enables Heidelberg to sell Ricoh's latest color digital press, the Ricoh Pro C901 Graphic Arts Edition, as part of Heidelberg's total print solution.

According to Jim Dunn, the Heidelberg USA team worked closely with Ricoh Americas on the best strategy for introducing Ricoh into Heidelberg's US and Latin American market.

“These countries are the first step, and we will continue to introduce Ricoh into Heidelberg operations in other markets through a phased approach."

The two companies entered into a global strategic partnership agreement in February this year. Heidelberg's and Ricoh's future plans include integration with Heidelberg's industry-standard workflow solution in the graphic arts industry, Prinect, as well as joint development activities for future printing applications.

TPS teams up with Böttcher UK

UK-based Total Print Supplies (TPS) has extended its customer market support with a newly formed partnership with Böttcher UK.

According to PaperlinX Business Development Director, Steve Brading, this collaboration will see TPS customers benefit from first-rate materials for the printing industry.

“They can be confident that by purchasing from their existing and well trusted supplier of press room and paper consumables they will have the backing of TPS’s comprehensive UK technical support team.

This team, working with Böttcher, is able to help the printer ensure that they are using well-known products with all the reassurance this brings to their procurement decisions,” he says.

PaperlinX launched TPS in 2009.
