This week’s M&A activity is headed by the organizational overhaul of HP, plus the appointment of Bryan Palphreyman as CEO of Nipson America.

HP overhauls organizational structure

Repositioning and realigning a corporate organizational structure closer to what was announced in March, HP positions itself for future market opportunities.

Elected to the HP board of directors, Ann Livermore will step down from her day-to-day management of the HP Enterprise Business to begin guiding the organization as a member of the board.

In a move to increase visibility of their respective units Dave Donatelli, executive VP of enterprise servers, storage, networking and technology services, and Bill Veghte, executive VO of software, will now report directly to Léo Apotheker, CEO of HP.

Leveraging the full HP portfolio to customers and partners, Jan Zadak, executive VP of Global Sales will also report to Apotheker.

Léo Apotheker, CEO of HP says these businesses play a “vital role in our continued growth and success, and as such, Dave, Bill and Jan will report directly to me and help drive the overall direction for HP.”

Leaving the HP team are Pete Bocian, executive VP and chief administrative officer, and Randy Mott, executive VP and chief information officer.
