Wide-format equipment manufacturer Mimaki has opened its new showroom in Brisbane, its third on the Australian east coast after Sydney and Melbourne.
Located in Murarrie, the new 150 square metre facility has two salespeople and two certified Mimaki technicians, and showcases eight products across the company's industrial and sign and graphics ranges. "We’ve aligned ourselves to those areas so we can show case our different product portfolios," said Pat Cybulski, Queensland sales channel manager. "For Queensland it’s exciting – we can offer our customers and channel partners support with our new facility. We now have full coverage of the eastern seaboard."
The new centre will also include a training facility for customers and channel partners. "It’s a great opportunity for our customer base to use the facility as backup support as well – if their current printers can’t handle peak periods, they can use our in-house equipment to get them through," said Cybulski. "If you look at the market, a lot of the manufacturers are reducing their office space. Mimaki is getting bigger – we want to be seen that we’re out in the marketplace assisting our customers and channel partners, and this is how we do it."
Tomomitsu Harada, general manager Mimaki Australia (pictured above centre, crouching) says the new Queensland centre is an important step forward for the company. "We would like to thank our Queensland dealer network for their engagement to Mimaki and being a part of our official opening. This increased investment from Mimaki into the Queensland market is a sign of our commitment to our network and customers that the Mimaki brand is here to stay," he said. "We boast the largest range of wide format engines in the industry and we are driving hard to increase a leading position in the marketplace."
