Engaging, funny and all-round fabulous, Libby Gorr is a hard hitter in the worlds of humour, broadcasting and performance – and she’s bringing her talents to this year’s National Print Awards.

John Wanless, Chairman of the 31st National Print Awards, announced this week that Gorr – a top-rating radio presenter at Melbourne’s 774 ABC and perhaps  more well known around Australia and overseas for her ‘Elle McFeast’ – will host the Awards, which are to be held at Sydney’s Westin Hotel on Friday 23 May.

“Libby is an enormously talented broadcaster, writer and performer and we are delighted she has agreed to enter the ring as our headline attraction at this year’s National Print Awards,” said Wanless.

“Libby’s broad interests, bold and thought-provoking interview style and her ability to find the authentic humour in everyday life have earned her plenty of admirers from all walks of life.

“Whatever she’s doing, she really packs a punch and we think that makes her the ideal person to handle to the cut and thrust of the 33-round battle which is the 2014 National Print Awards."

Gorr’s career has encompassed radio, television, print and live performance as she has exercised her talents as a writer, performer, producer and unique multi-faceted creative. Her television documentaries have sold around the world and been awarded by the New York Festival of Television, and she has more recently drawn on her experience as mother to publish two books – The A-Z of Mummy Manners and A Bedtime Poem for Edible Children, both published by Harper Collins.

Bookings for the National Print Awards can be made by filling out one of the registration forms which will be circulated through the industry soon or by contacting organisers at printawards@printnet.com.au.  Further details can be found at www.nationalprintawards.com.au
