National Print Awards sells out a record 1,200 seats

The organisers have reported a stronger than ever response for this year’s event, with printers and suppliers breaking down the doors to be a part of the festivities as the industry whoops it up during PacPrint week.

The National Print Awards are heralded as the night when friends from all around Australia gather together to celebrate the industry’s achievements and excellence in print. This year’s ceremony will take place on the Wednesday evening of May 25th, held in the Palladium at the Crown Casino, within easy access from PacPrint at the nearby Melbourne Exhibition & Convention Centre at Docklands.

NPA chairman Alf Carrigan is certainly pleased with the way things are shaping up for this year’s awards, currently battening down the hatches in response to the pleas from printers who missed out on tickets. “With record numbers in excess of over 1,200 people, the NPA is delighted with the response to this year’s dinner. It’s a credit to the organising committee,” he says.

All 28 gold medals won will be presented on the night and the major sponsors will present the following special awards:

  • The Australian Paper Award for Printing by an Apprentice
  • The Agfa Award for the Most Innovative Use of Imaging
  • The Heidelberg Australia Award for Excellence in Craft.
