UPH printhead
The heart of the :Anapurna XLS is the unique Agfa Universal Printhead. This UPH is a piezo shared wall printhead with resolutions ranging from 720 to 1440 dpi. Each had has 764 nozzles and it enables to print at very high quality levels, not sacrificing on productivity.
Flush Brush for automated maintenance
A flow of liquid cleaning fluid is removing debris and ink residues on the nozzle plate and in the nozzle cores, resulting in smooth and reliable printing.
Accurate media transport
The transport system is based on a revolutionary vacuum table design. Media is kept tensionless during every consecutive step. Moreover, a special clamping system prevents media from slipping or moving, whether printing roll or rigid media.
Automatic refill system
Ink levels are automatically detected in the main ink tanks. Both visible and audible warnings notify the user of low levels. Both warnings notify the operator of low ink level ensuring the production is maintained.
Short start-up time
The :Anapurna XLS starts up from cold to stand-by after only 15 minutes. A fast and easy start in the morning.
Head positioning device for stable printing
A head positioning device keeps the nozzle plate of all heads absolutely 100% plan-parellel with the substrates at all times for perfect stable printing.
